Imagine, if you will, a room constructed of seven equally sized walls. The only illumination is the smoke diffused light emitted by a single candle that stands on a black double vertical cubic altar in the center of the chamber. The floor is black except for a white seven-pointed star, drawn in the angles of which are archaic names written in Hebrew script. The combination of candlelight, shadow and incense smoke animates to life alchemical and astrological symbols painted in flashing colors on the walls. As a hypnotic undercurrent to this visual cacophony is the repetitive rhythm of Middle Eastern drumming. Rising and falling like the undulation movement of a snake, the drumming sedates the reasoning mind and puts it to sleep. The now excited imagination rends the veil of the rational and from the tear in its fabric emerge the denizens of other dimensions. I have folded time and space.
