"Rose Arbor"

Lena Liu's Rose Arbor
Release Date April 1997
This item is sold out. Rose Arbor, inspired by Lena's visit to Nice, France, depicts a scene right outside the Matisse Museum. There is a chapel and behind it stands a beautiful "Rose Arbor" covered with masses of pink and red roses. The arbor, made of old wooden logs, has a very natural look against the textured granite pillars that feature cascading roses. Large terra cotta pots of white petunias adorn the granite wall. Between the pillars, a glimpse of the soft trees and open grassy fields of the French countryside can be seen. As the late afternoon sunlight gently filters through the densely grown roses, the arbor becomes an inviting shady place for strolling and enjoying the quiet peacefulness.
Rose Arbor is a 16" x 20" print that sells for $80. It is also available as an 16" x 20" canvas transfer which sells for $295 unframed
(please click for framed prices).
This piece is an ideal companion for Lena Liu's "Garden Gate".
